You will be required to attend a one day clinic on anatomy and biomechanics for natural hoof care practitioners. This clinic is designed to help practitioners assess horses in a correct and professional manner. Non-farrier students may take this clinic at any time during their training. Certified practitioners may use this as continuing professional development. (Please note that this course replaces the Gait Analysis clinic).
Through this course you will develop an understanding of;
• the basic anatomy and physiology of the horse
• the basic conformation of the horse.
• how conformation affects the horse’s performance.
• the effects of disease, injury or tension on the horse’s body.
