Farrier Programme

Additional steps to be taken as Continuing Professional Development in order to maintain CP status. Two clinics to be attended each year after the initial certification year.

Nutrition clinic (one day)
Anatomy, conformation and rehabilitation clinic (one day)
Veterinary update clinic (one day)
Horse handling and behaviour clinic (one day)
Booting clinic (one day)

All UK registered farriers may use our training programme to earn CPD points with the Farriers Registration Council.

Our organisation has already benefited from the membership of a number of farriers all of whom have been long term proponents of natural hoof care. The UKNHCP recognises that all registered farriers are both highly skilled and knowledgeable about hoof care. With this in mind then, our tuition to registered UK farriers wishing to join us, is designed to be tailored to each individual. For more information about each step click on the step numbers.
