Understanding the horse as a prey animal.
Harnessing the horse’s natural behaviour to help successful handling.
Defining and solving a range of behavioural problems through
understanding the way in which a horse thinks and communicates.
Developing timing to create effective communication.
Developing skills and techniques to keep the handler safe and provide a calm and effective method of handling all horses.
Aim of the course
The aim of this clinic is to teach a range of safe and effective methods for handling all horses by harnessing and understanding the natural behaviour of the equine . The ability to keep a horse calm, calm a stressed horse and be able to handle it in a safe way is crucial for all those working with horses.
Martha Lindsell is an inspirational and experienced horse woman qualified both with the BHS and the Australian Natural Horsemanship Study Centre. Her ability to communicate with both human and horse will lead you to leave her course with a wealth of new techniques and skills to help you in your everyday handling of horses from the ground.
This clinic is a totally practical hands on course and each participant will handle and work with an excellent range of horses throughout the day.
