Application review (held three times per year)
Orientation: Theory of Natural Hoof Care (2 days, no more than 6
attendees)
Hoof Anatomy and Dissection (2 days, no more than four attendees)
Active Natural Hoof Care: (1 day, one attendee)
Hoof Care Intensive (3 days, no more than three attendees)
First Mentorship String: 3 different field instructors, (2 days with
each instructor, no more than 2 attendees)
Supervised study (4-6 months): Student builds own clientele.
Second Mentorship String: 3 different field instructors, (2 days with
each instructor. These must be different
to those mentored with in step eight, no
more than 2 attendees)
Final Assessment: Part One - Submission of student file
Part Two - Interview and assessment by UKNHCP
and external examiners.

Nutrition clinic (one day which must be taken before the second mentorship string)
Anatomy, Conformation, Injury and Rehabilitation clinic (one day)
Veterinary update clinic (one day)
Horse handling and behaviour clinic (one day)
Shoe pulling (one day which must be taken before the first mentorship string, no more
than two attendees)
Hoof Care Intensive Extra (two days which are optional or may be advised by the
instructor of Step 7)
