You will be required to attend an Orientation two day course as an introduction to the theories and history of natural hoof care. This course must be taken before any other.
Through this course you will develop an awareness of;
• the advantages and disadvantages of natural hoof care.
• the different theories and methods of hoof care.
• the effect of diet and environment on the structure and performance of hooves.
• the relationship of healthy structure and form to performance and soundness.
• the relationship of unhealthy structure and form to performance and soundness.
• transitioning horses to barefoot performance.
• the use of hoof boots
• basic hoof anatomy and function
