You will be required to attend a two day course on hoof anatomy. This clinic can be taken before or after Step 4. The course will involve you dissecting a lower equine limb and relating both structure and pathologies to hoof and leg function.
Through this course you will develop an understanding of;
• hoof anatomy and function down to cellular level.
• the different theories surrounding haema dynamics.
• common sites of injury and strain in the lower leg
• the relationship between foot balance and soft tissue function
• the differences between structures in healthy and unhealthy hooves and lower leg.
