You will be required to attend two separate mentorship days with selected instructors. These days do not have to be consecutive and will be with different instructors. The mentorships will involve you trimming a variety of barefoot horses and serve as an assessment of competence leading to the qualification of UKNHCP Certified Practitioner. You will be required to bring your portfolio to each mentorship day.
These days will help you show an understanding of;
• the application of natural trimming methods on individual hooves.
• the holistic and analytical nature of hoof care.
• the relationship between diet and performance on bare hooves.
• the relationship between environment and performance on bare hooves.
• the role of hoof boots in protecting and developing bare hooves.
• transitioning hooves for successful barefoot performance.
• demonstrating professional conduct at all times.
